qTag is a tool to edit tag informations of MP3 and OGG files. qTag can also browse and manage big audio file collections. qTag saves tag informations both inside of the audio files and in a cataloged databases. This makes it possible to search for audio files even if the are not available on the system (disconnected extern hard drive). The whole audio collection can be browsed in lists and trees. Queries can combine different search criteria like titles, artists, comments, albums, genres and all other tag informations. This way its easy to find a file on your hard disk in seconds without navigation in any directory, look up duplicates, locate where files are saved on your media, create cross folder samplers of your files, print cdrom covers. Thousands of audio files in a qTag catalog is nothing unusual, yet catalogs remain reasonably small, single-filed and easy to transfer or send to other users. You can also create more than one catalog, and at any time open and work with as many catalogs at once as needed. Read what qTag users say about this tool here.
With the last release qTag is freeware and covers all functionality of qTagDB und qDex. qTagDB and qDex are discontinued. All future development will concentrate on qTag.
